The AAPC accredits pastoral counseling centers in the same manner that it certifies individual counselors. Some centers are certified to provide pastoral counseling/psychotherapy but not training. A few centers are certified by the AAPC to provide counseling/psychotherapy and approved training. Occasionally, a site will be certified as an approved training center but not a provider of counseling services.
